Gregory Yu : Co-President

Gregory Yu received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Business Management from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in 1999. He is currently a managing director at J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong, responsible for the bank’s Asia Pacific equity derivatives marketing. Upon returning to Hong Kong in 2004 from New York City, Greg has been active with CAAAN by hosting various prospective student receptions and new students send offs. At Cornell, Greg was part of Last Call, the University’s premier all-male a cappella group. To this day, Greg continues to be a keen promoter for the singing group. He hopes to bring more current student performers and thought leaders to the region to advertise Cornell University’s talented and diverse student body.


Victor Lam : Co-President

Victor Lam received his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics and Business Management from College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Cornell University. After Cornell, he returned to Hong Kong and worked in the banking industry. Today, he works as General Manager at his family's manufacturing business. 

Victor serves as a member of a number of government advisory committees in Hong Kong, including the Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service, the Business Facilitation Advisory Committee and the Vetting Committee of the SME Development Fund and the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (Organisation Support Programme). He has been very active in public and community services. He is a General Committee member of the Chinese Manufacturers' Association, Vice-Secretary-General of the Federation of Hong Kong Guangdong Community Organizations and Vice President of the Y. Elites Association. He has organized and led the visit of numerous business and industry delegations to the mainland and abroad.

Victor enjoys soccer, water skiing and golfing.


Alexander Ting : Vice President

Alexander Ting received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University, School of Arts and Sciences. Alex runs a technology company that specialises in creating top tier easy-to-use softwares.

Outside of work, Alex loves to travel, meet new people and do a lot of outdoor activities. 


Justin Wai : Treasurer

Justin Wai received his his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration in 2006. Justin is currently working at Blackstone's Hong Kong office, where he is responsible for sourcing and executing real estate investment opportunities in Greater China.  apart from volunteering at Cornell, Justin is a trustee of Northfield Mount Herman School and co-chair of its investment committee.  In addition, he is a member of the Leadership Council of Blackstone Charitable Foundation, and the Advisory Committee of HKSAR Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged.


Jennifer Chau : Secretary & Membership Chair

Jennifer Chau received her Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from Cornell University, College of Art, Architecture, & Planning in 2001 and also received a Master of Design Studies from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design, concentrating on Urban Real Estate and Development in 2002. After graduation, Jennifer lived in New York for over 10 years and worked at Reis, a Real Estate Information Company. After relocating back to HK in 2011, Jennifer is an active volunteer with the CAAAN group and is a keen contributor to the Cornell community. 


Rebecca Lee : University Liaison & Planning

Rebecca Lee received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration in 2002.  After moving to Seoul upon graduation, Rebecca began volunteering with the Cornell Club of Korea while working at Marriott International.  In 2005, Rebecca moved to Hong Kong and in 2007, she began serving as the President of Cornell Hotel Society (CHS) Hong Kong Chapter where her team successfully incorporated Macao into the local Chapter, growing its presence and attracting more active chapter members, and in 2009, Rebecca was elected to serve the Cornell Hotel Society Board as the Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific until she stepped down from CHS to serve Cornell Club of Hong Kong on full capacity in 2015. 

Rebecca is currently the Vice President of Hotel Development at Galaxy Entertainment Group, responsible for supporting Galaxy Entertainment Group’s hotel/hospitality development expansion projects on commercial aspects.  Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys traveling, event planning, cooking (and eating it), comparing notes on hotel and hospitality innovations, and getting out and about for outdoor recreational sports. 


Didier Lamarche : Seminars & Professional Events Co-Chair

Didier Lamarche received his MBA from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Finance. He subsequently worked for Bain & Company and BCG in their New York office. Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Didier has launched and developed three startups. He now manages Adam Smith Capital, a Private Equity Firm dedicated to the acquisition and growth of western firms whose brands, technologies, know-how and resources fulfill Asian customers’ needs. 

Prior to relocating to Hong Kong in 2010, Didier spent a decade in New York city during which he created and headed a Think Tank and contributed to many other not for profit organizations. He was also actively involved in the Cornell University Clubs in Belgium and in France. 

Didier is a member of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCPEA) and a Director of the Belgium and Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (BLCCHK).  

Intellectually curious by nature, Didier also holds a B. Sc. in Mathematical Economics from University Catholique de Louvain (UCL), a M.Sc. in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics from UCL, a LL.B. in Private and Commercial Law from Pantheon-Sorbonne University (Paris I) and a B.A. in Philosophy from UCL.

Besides hiking and playing tennis, Didier likes cooking, exchanging ideas and coaching entrepreneurs but his main passion is to spend time with his 6 year old twin daughters.


David Lam : Seminars & Professional Events Co-Chair

David Lam received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University, School of Arts & Sciences.  He currently serves as director of a technology company and a food retail business.  During his time at Cornell, David co-founded the Cornell Undergraduate Asia Business Society.


Kathleen Ting : Social & Recreation Events Co-Chair

Kathleen Ting is responsible for the Family Office and Fund-of-Funds business at BlackRock AxJ. She is also the co-founder and President of MeeOpp, a tech start-up. She is very passionate about helping children, students and parents in the education space, where MeeOpp is currently focused at.

Other than work, Kathleen enjoys painting, languages, piano, singing, traveling, speaking and meeting new and different types of people. If interested in doing any joint events with Cornell, please do not hesitate to reach out to her! Kathleen's favorite part of Cornell includes: the Slope, the Chimes Tower, the many libraries, sailing, Aladdin, the plantations, the Museum and the many pianos in Lincoln Hall! :)


Kim Kan : Social & Recreational Events Co-Chair

Kim Kan received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, College of Engineering in 2003. She returned in Hong Kong in 2004 to work in the finance industry, and is currently an Associate Director in Real Estate & Construction at KPMG. She is also the Co-Vice Chair of the Property Committee at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

Outside of work, Kim is a very active member of the rugby committee in Hong Kong.  She has captained the Hong Kong Football Club's Senior Women Rugby team for numerous years and has represented Hong Kong in the Senior Women 15s squad. 


Thi Quach : Volunteer & Community Services Chair

Thi Quach received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Business Management from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in 1999. After graduation, she moved to NYC to work in various financial positions in media & technology companies. Her desire to persue a more creative business role lead her to get her MBA in International Brand Marketing from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management. Upon moving to Hong Kong in 2006, Thi has been active with CAAAN by interviewing various prospective students and participating in new students send-offs. She is currently consulting in brand marketing for various industries from education, startups, pharmaceutical, etc.  

Outside of work, Thi is an outdoor enthusiast, looking for the next mountain to trek to, a wanderlust at heart and reading food magazines & blogs to find the next new restaurant to try!
